Ayr Skin Care came to us in July of 2017 wanting to increase their presence online. Coalition’s familiarity with the beauty industry made us a great fit. This relatively new natural skincare company wanted us to complete SEO and run their PPC to draw more customers to their site and promote their products.
Our other task was to improve email deliverability. The client’s emails were ending up in spam folders, had very low open and click rates, high bounce rates and were not providing much revenue. The average open rate was around 1% and average click rate was around 0.1%. Emails rarely brought in any revenue.
We fixed issues with images, added a Press page, improved banners, and addressed several other issues to ensure that the site was attractive to users. We also wrote optimized copy for their blog, completed guest posts outreach, and optimized meta data. For their PPC campaigns, we performed extensive keyword and competitor research to develop campaigns that would give the best return for their spend.
For their email campaigns, we started by creating a fresh, updated email template which optimized the design for better engagement and deliverability. We also cleaned and segmented the contact lists for a more targeted strategy and developed a send strategy with a regular cadence. We also migrated the client over to an email service provider that would better meet their needs with improved segmentation and personalization.
Compared to last year, organic sessions have increased by 340% and organic new users have also seen improvement, increasing by 482%. Organic revenue has risen by 171% since last year.
Overall revenue has increased by 976%.
For their email campaign, sending to a more engaged audience immediately skyrocketed the open and click rates and lowered the bounce rates. In just six months of working with Ayr Skin Care’s emails, we now see an average open rate of around 30% (a 2,900% increase) and click rate of around 2% (a 1,900% increase). We also added new automated emails and optimized her welcome series and abandoned cart series to generate more engagement and revenue. Today, email marketing is responsible for most of the sales through her site.
